I had a question that I was hoping the group might be able to help with. A couple weeks ago (actually on the day I joined the club), on the Wednesday ride, I was riding with the #3-group, and while starting to accelerate after stopping at an intersection (Broadlands/Claiborne Pkwy), my bike had a catastrophic failure. The top tube literally sheared away from the seat tube, and the down tube separated from the head tube. Fortunately, I wasn't going fast, and I caught myself before falling down, but the bike is now in two pieces, and i'm without a bike - which stinks, because I was looking forward to riding regularly with you guys. I've tried to get in touch with the bike manufacturer, LOOK, but they have not responded in almost two weeks. I was wondering if you could give me some advice; from what I understood in talking with some of the guys on the ride, and others, most of these manufacturers cover their bikes with a lifetime warranty against this sort of failure - but, it's not help when you can't get in touch with the company! Thanks in advance
