VDOT is seeking feedback on its nearly year-old "road diet" approach to traffic calming on Lawyers Road in Reston. In an effort to improve safety for all roadway users, the four through-travel lanes that existed previously were replaced with two through-lanes, a center turn lane, and a bike lane in each direction.
As the first "road diet" project undertaken by VDOT, feedback from this project can influence the future of this sort of bike-friendly traffic calming throughout the Commonwealth. Click here to enter your response.
