Wild Goose Chase - women's bike ride
The Wild Goose Chase, a women's bike ride is being held in Cambridge, Maryland at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, April 27. Cambridge is on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
This road ride is a fund-raiser for Blackwater and is open to 300 women. We expect to raise about $11,000 for the Refuge. Gore Bike Wear is co-sponsoring this event with us.The ride has four routes from 10 to 62 miles, each sagged and with rest stops. Riders who come early can enjoy a bird walk with a specialist from the Refuge. Our rider goodie bag is stuffed with a commemorative t-shirt (women's size, natch), a training CD, socks, food, magazines, tools, skin care products, a water bottle, and more. Terry bicycles will be available for test rides. Riders can browse and buy apparel from Terry and Gore. After the ride, we'll raffle off a new Terry Isis Pro bicycle and a Gore Bike Wear Fusion rain jacket along with many other prizes donated by our sponsors. Wholesome after ride snacks will be provided.
