RESTON BICYCLE CLUB WAS FORMED IN 1982 TO PROMOTE CYCLING IN THE RESTON AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA.

Reston Bike Club is an all-volunteer, non-profit club with over 1,200 members. RBC organizes weekly bicycle rides and social events for all levels and abilities. Rides are held  throughout the year - see our event calendar for ride schedule and registration details.

In addition, the club sponsors social functions, publishes a monthly newsletter, and offers other resources to bicycle enthusiasts.


RBC maintains positive working relationships with local and state governing bodies to promote cycling legislation and raise public awareness of the sport.

    I have posted weekday rides for Wednesday & Thursday. Also the Saturday rides starting from Herndon will roll out at 10:15 am. The "long C' route stays the same, the regular C/D route has been changed. Please down load the route. Thanks for riding.

  • Weekday Winter Rides

    I have posted rides for Wednesday and Thursday this week. Start time is 4pm and the shorter route should have everyone back before it gets too dark. Please bring front and rear lights. 

  • Herndon Middle School Bike Program

    The Green Lizard Foundation is working  closely with Herndon Middle School to bring back their Bike Program. The HMS Bike Program teaches students bike safety and riding skills as well as basic bike maintenance skills. 

    The HMS Bike Program is  seeking volunteers from our cycling community who can teach safety and riding skills or basic bike maintenance. The class is from 2:30-4:30 at HMS on Thursdays and the first hour includes bike riding to build riding skills and safety awareness. The second hour features our guest mechanics teaching basic bike repairs and maintenance. Please contact Rick Racine at 703 935-3881 if you would like to help our students.
