Join us for the 2024 season kick off ride!

There are 4 options - please register for the appropriate group based on your speed level. Each group will roll with a ride leader, but if your group separates, you may be dropped.

  • 10:00 AM Start: A Group - 20+ mph / 50 mile route
  • 10:10 AM Start: B Group - 18.5-20 mph / 50 mile route
  • 10:20 AM Start: C Group - 16.5-18 mph / 40 mile route
  • 10:30 AM Start: D Group - 14.5-16 mph / 30 mile route

The goal is to have all of the groups finish at similar times so we can hang out together at Old Ox after the ride. We will have some light refreshments and you can purchase beverages and food from the brewery.

PARKING INFORMATION

Parking is very limited at Old Ox Brewery. We recommend parking at one of the following locations with easy access to Old Ox from the W&OD trail:

  1. 0.4 miles away - Hampshire Park, 21315 Smith Switch Rd, Ashburn, VA. (bathrooms available)
  2. 1.1 miles away – Sterling W&OD Trail Parking, Sterling, VA. (enter off Pacific Blvd.)
  3. 2.4 miles away - W&OD Trail Parking Lot and Access Point, 20694 Ashburn Rd, Ashburn, VA 20147. (across from Carolina Brothers BBQ)
  4. 5.4 miles away - Washington & Old Dominion Trail Downtown Herndon Parking, Herndon, VA 20170 (enter off Station St.) (bathrooms at Green Lizard Cycling)

ROUTES:

    Please sign the 2024 Liability Waiver if you plan to ride with us this year (you only need to do this once per year).

    The first ride with us is free and helmets are required. We welcome you to join us on subsequent rides as a member. Membership starts at $30 per year and you can sign up HERE.

    Reston Bicycle Club welcomes bicycling-related organizations and non-profits to apply for a grant to further their work. The Club will provide up to $1000 per approved grant. Grants are reviewed at the next Executive Board Meeting following the request. Candidates will be informed of grant decision after the meeting.
